Cathedral Baptisms

Welcoming your precious baby into Christ's Church takes place during a Baptism service, usually conducted during the Sunday 10.00am service, as agreed with the Dean.

Baptism is not a private ceremony. It is a time when new members are born into the Family of God, and it is lovely that other members of the Church Family are present. We welcome people of all ages, from infants upwards, to be baptised. There is no charge for this service although donations are welcome.

The Baptism service contain promises about Christian belief and practice. These are made on behalf of infants by the parents and god-parents, or by individuals being baptised as adults. 

​

We are delighted to baptise those who live in the Cathedral Parish or are regular worshipping members of our congregation.
